Richard [K] Morgan - Recommended Links

Amnesty International - ...needs no introduction.

Arcade Fire - Weird and wonderful bits and pieces from the most interesting indie band out there right now. Included here more for the general weirdness of execution than anything else.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Undoubtedly the finest rock musicians in the western world today. Included for that very reason.

Cocaine.org - Endlessly fascinating and informative on drugs, past, present and probable future – I still haven't read all of the secondary links yet. So much data, so little time.

The Dandy Warhols - After Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, my favourite US rock band. Their guitarist reads my books, which was kind of a huge rush when I found out.

Richard Dawkins - Caped crusader for Enlightenment values – as various mumbling superstitious tendencies (Islam, born-again Christians, Homeopathy) attempt to drag us back into the dark ages, Dawkins is the man of the hour.

Lucius Sheperd's Film Reviews - The sharpest, most intelligent and probably grumpiest film reviews on the web, courtesy of Lucius Shepherd. Indispensable.

Gollancz Books. My UK publisher. To receive monthly news, extracts, competitions and much more, you should join the mailing list.

Infinity Plus - Along with UK SF Book News, below, this is usually my first stop to see what's going on at any given moment in the SF universe. Great reviews.

John Kay - For anyone out there who still thinks I'm a commie pinko command economy leftist.

John Pilger - For anyone out there who's just been to the previous link and thinks I've Sold Out.

Kelly Link - One of the finest creative talents currently working in the field of fantasy – mainly here so that you can read 'The Faery Handbag' and agree with me about that.

Michael Moore - For anyone who I haven't yet managed to piss off with the Kay and Pilger links.

Notes From the Geek Show - Inside the head of one Hal Duncan, fulminating rambling lyrically savage author of Vellum and Ink. Get some passion in yer SF!

Minister Faust - Politics and colour (dayglow and racial) – Malcolm Azania's politically committed and compassionate take on what's happening in the world.

Night Shade Books - These guys are great – I have a thread on their message board, have been drunk with them at Comicon, and I urge you to buy their stuff. They are genuine 24 carat genre enthusiasts.

Pulp Noir - Also someone I got drunk with at Comicon – though a different year. Charlie Huston is delightful company and writes some of the best contemporary hard-boiled fiction around. This site gives you the chance to sample a little bit of both.

UK SF Book News - My other major stopping off point for genre news in general – plus this is the guy who runs my new website. The phoenix rising from the ashes of the much loved and missed The Alien Online.

The Suffering - Huh? Yes, I know, I know it's only a video game. Just go away and play it, and then talk to me. Hire an Xbox or PS2, buy it second hand and if you only ever plan to play one video game in your life, play this one – it showcases better than any other game I know what the quality-end fictional possibilities of the form are. The gaming world will look back on The Suffering one day the way the crime fiction world now looks back on Chandler's The Big Sleep.
